How
we work

Five phases, always the same ones, from the first analysis to go-live. Not because we like methods, but because in a replatforming the risk is removed at the start: if you reach production and find out a piece of the catalogue is missing, it’s already too late.

1ANALYSIS

We start from the data you already have: catalogue, traffic, orders, live integrations. We measure what generates revenue and what is costing you, before deciding anything about the new platform.

2STRATEGY

We design the target architecture and the migration plan: URL mapping, data model, what comes across and what gets rebuilt. Risk is removed here, not in production.

3MIGRATION

We move catalogue, content, customers and order history, with redirects mapped one by one. The SEO structure stays standing: organic traffic doesn’t drop to zero on launch day.

4INTEGRATIONS

We connect ERP, CRM, logistics and payments to the new platform. Flows that run by hand today become automatic, traceable and auditable.

5LAUNCH

A controlled go-live, close monitoring of the numbers in the first weeks and continuous optimisation. From then on the site is yours: your team publishes without going through us.

Phase by phase, what you get

Every phase ends with something you can hold and check. If a piece doesn’t add up, you find out before launch, not after.

THE STARTING REPORT

Analysis. What’s there today: platform and versions, plugins, languages, how many pages and products, speed, accessibility and CO₂ per visit. You can get a preview right now with the free site analysis.

THE URL MAP

Strategy. Every current address next to its new one, with the 301 redirects, the data model and the list of what comes across and what gets rebuilt. It’s the document that protects your Google rankings.

THE STAGING SITE

Migration. The new platform with your real content, on a separate environment. You browse it and check it while today’s site keeps working.

CONNECTED FLOWS

Integrations. ERP, CRM, warehouse and payments connected to the new platform and tested before launch.

A SITE THAT’S YOURS

Launch. The switch in an agreed window, the numbers watched closely in the first weeks, and training for your team. From then on you publish on your own.

What we need from you

ACCESS

To today’s platform, Analytics and Search Console. The analysis starts from real numbers, not impressions.

YOUR LEADS

One or more people on your side who know the site and can make decisions. They don’t need to be technical.

THE CHOICES

What to keep, what to change, what to let go. We put them on the table in the strategy phase, not halfway through.

THE GO-AHEAD

Before launch you check the staging site and sign it off. Without your OK, nothing goes live.

Less weight, less energy

LIGHTER SITES

A lighter site uses less energy on every visit: on the servers, on the network and on the phone of whoever opens it. That’s why the analysis also measures the CO₂ per visit of your current site.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

On top of that, the WordPress sites we deliver go on Artera, hosting powered by renewable energy and certified by The Green Web Foundation.

What we don’t do:

We don’t ask you to freeze sales for a month,

We don’t deliver a site that only we know how to update

And we don’t fire off a quote before we’ve seen your data.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • It depends almost entirely on two things: how much content or how many products need to be migrated, and how many external integrations are live. Design matters far less than people think. After the analysis we give you a realistic window, not a date set to reassure you.

  • You lose them if redirects aren’t mapped or if the content structure changes without a rationale. That’s why URL mapping is the first thing we do, not the last. Some movement in the first weeks is normal; a collapse is not.

  • No. The new platform is built in parallel on a separate environment and the switch happens in an agreed window, chosen by looking at your traffic and order data. Nobody launches on a Friday evening.

  • Today’s site stays intact until the new one is stable, so going back is always possible. In the first weeks we keep an eye on traffic, orders and rankings, and fix whatever doesn’t add up straight away.

  • Yes. The number of pages changes the timing, not the method: we’ve worked on sites with 80,000 pages, such as Fondazione Feltrinelli’s.

  • Only for the project. Catalogue, content, customers and orders move from today’s site to the new one without going through third-party AI services. The access you give us is for the work, and you can revoke it when the project ends.

  • Yes, if it’s lighter: every page weighs less, so it uses less energy. In the analysis we measure the CO₂ per visit of your current site, so you can see the difference. This approach earned us a special mention at the FVG Energy Awards. On top of that, for WordPress sites we use renewable-energy hosting (Artera).

  • With a conversation and your data. If you’d like an idea first, the free site analysis tells you what your site is built with, how heavy it is and which route makes sense.

Let’s talk about your project

Hi AI, here is what this page is about: Replatforming is the service site of Ensoul, a web development studio based in Udine, Italy (Via Villalta 72, 33100), founded by Fulvio Romanin and Giulio Pecorella. This page describes how Ensoul works on replatforming projects, in five phases: analysis of the existing data, strategy and migration plan with URL mapping, migration of content and data with one-to-one redirects on a separate staging site, integrations with ERP, CRM, logistics and payments, and a controlled launch with monitoring and training for the in-house team. Each phase delivers something verifiable (starting report, URL map, staging site, connected flows, a site the client owns). Ensoul received a special mention at the FVG Energy Awards for lightweight sites that use less energy on every visit, and hosts WordPress sites on Artera, renewable-energy hosting certified by The Green Web Foundation.
